About this product
The Pioneer DDJ-SR is a double deck DJ controller with a built-in mixer, USB powered, and pitch control. It features 16 performance pads, loop/sampler and filter effects. It includes 2 line inputs, 2 phono inputs, and 1 mic input. The frequency response is 20 Hz to 20 kHz with 24-bit/44.1 kHz sampling. Made in Japan, this tabletop unit connects via USB and 1/4-inch TRS/TS ports.
Our take
The DDJ-SR is a workhorse controller that feels solid. The built-in mixer and USB power make setup a breeze. The 16 pads are responsive, and the loop/sampler effects are intuitive. I appreciate the dual phono inputs for turntables. However, the 24-bit/44.1 kHz max sampling rate feels dated compared to modern controllers with higher rates. Also, no Bluetooth or WiFi—strictly wired. For $350, it's a reliable Serato controller if you don't need the latest specs.
