Our take
This DDJ-SR works fine, but the fader wear is noticeable. The crossfader is a bit loose, and the channel faders feel slightly scratchy. It's still functional for mixing, but you might need to replace faders soon. The build quality is typical Pioneer—solid metal and plastic. The 16 pads are great. For $689, you could get a newer or better-condition unit. I'd only recommend if you're comfortable with electrical repair. The sound card is good, and it pairs perfectly with Serato. Just factor in the cost of possible repairs.
