About this product
The Pioneer DJ DDJ-SB2 is an updated version of the DDJ-SB, featuring 2 decks, 16 pads, filter and loop/sampler effects, 1 mic input, 1 phono input, and 1 line input. It offers pitch control, 3-band EQ, and USB power. The tabletop controller has a 24-bit/44.1kHz soundcard and is compatible with Serato DJ software. Black and silver color scheme.
Our take
I upgraded from the original DDJ-SB to the SB2, and the improvements are noticeable. The pads are more responsive, and the filter effect is now a dedicated knob – much better for live mixing. The layout is intuitive, and USB power keeps things tidy. Build quality feels a bit better than the first version. However, it still lacks balanced outputs and the jog wheels are on the smaller side. For the price, it's a solid choice for Serato users who want a portable, capable controller without breaking the bank.
